Arunachal Pradesh Statehood Day is observed every year on 20 February in India. Arunachal Pradesh attained full statehood on 20th February 1987 becoming the 24th state of the Indian Union through the 55th constitutional amendment in alignment with the national policy of granting tribal regions distinct state identities.
