Bankim Chandra Chatterjee
Bankim Chandra Chatterjee (Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay) an Indian novelist, poet, journalist.
Founder of Bengali literary magazine ‘Bangadarshan’. Pioneer of modern Bengali literature. Composer of national song of India ‘Vande Mataram’. His notable works include the novel Anandamath (1882), which inspired nationalists during the struggle against British rule.
