Boyi Bhimanna an Indian independence activist, poet, academician, author, journalist. Sahitya Akademi Award recipient. He receviced titles Kala Prapurna, Kala Ratna, Lokanayak. His writings reflected the angst of the down-trodden. He was the director of the Andhra Pradesh state translation division for some time.
