Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao an Indian independence activist, music director, composer, playback singer. He was the second court musician (Aaasthana Gaayaka) of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams after Annamacharya to Mulavirat. He was the first film singer and composer from the South to be honored with a postal stamp.
