Gmail became available to public.
Gmail was launched by Google as an invitation-only beta service on April 1, 2004.
For nearly three years, users could create accounts only through invitations from existing users.
On February 7, 2007, Google removed the invitation requirement and made Gmail available to the general public.
This marked Gmail’s transition from a limited beta service to a widely accessible email platform.
