In india ‘Royal Bengal Tiger’ was conferred the status as the national animal
In india july 9th 1969 the Wildlife Board declared ‘lion’ as the national animal of the country. Till 1972, the Lion was the national animal of India. Later Royal Bengal Tiger, ‘majestic creature’ was designated as the national animal on November 18, 1972 and It was conferred the status in April 1st 1973.
