On 30 October 2011, India hosted its first Formula 1 Grand Prix.
It was held at the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
The race was won by Sebastian Vettel of Red Bull.
It was the first F1 race in South Asia.
India hosted the event for three years, from 2011 to 2013.
Sebastian Vettel won all three races.
The event was later discontinued due to tax issues.
