Kasturba Gandhi

Kasturba Gandhi (Kasturbai Makhanji Kapadia) an Indian independence activist, political activist.

She married Mahatma Gandhi. She joined Gandhi in India’s fight for freedom, taking part in protests like the Dandi Salt March and getting arrested for her role. She worked to help women by teaching them reading, hygiene, and how to be independent, especially in rural areas. In india, Her birthday was designated as National Safe Motherhood Day.
