Public Service Broadcasting Day – India

Public Service Broadcasting Day is celebrated anually on november 12th in India.

It is to commemorate Mahatma Gandhi’s first and only live broadcast on All India Radio (AIR) in 1947.

On this day, he addressed displaced people at the Kurukshetra refugee camp after the partition, and a snippet of this speech is played every year.
