Rajya Sabha’s first sitting was held.
On 3rd April 1952, The Council of States was constituted. On 13th May 1952, Rajya Sabha’s first sitting was held. It is the Upper House of the Parliament of India. Its Hindi equivalent as Rajya Sabha was adopted on 23 August 1954.
