Chandra Shekhar Azad
Chandra Shekhar Azad (Chandra Shekhar Sitaram Tiwari) was an Indian freedom fighter, revolutionary.
A prominent leader of the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association (HSRA), he played a key role in the armed resistance against British colonial rule.
He was known by several names—Azad, Balraj, and Thakur Saheb.
He was a proud and courageous activist who never surrendered to the British authorities, famously vowing that he would die free and never be captured alive.
He was closely associated with legendary revolutionaries like Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, Sukhdev, Pandit Ram Prasad Bismil, Thakur Roshan Singh, Prem Kishan Khanna, and Ashfaqullah Khan.
