Ascension Day – Eastern Christianity

Ascension Day is observed internationally by many Christian denominations, particularly Catholic, Anglican, and some Protestant churches, 40 days after Easter Sunday, which always falls on a Thursday.

The Eastern Orthodox Church uses the Julian calendar for Easter, which is usaully 13 days behind the Gregorian calendar.
