Kodandera Subayya Thimayya an Indian army general.

Distinguished Service Order (DSO) recipient. Commander of the United Nations Peacekeeping Force. The only Indian to command the infantry in World War II. Rendered vital services as Chief in the Army Staff during the Sino-Indian War. After the Korean War, he led the United Nations department in repatriating prisoners of war to their respective countries.
