International Everest Day

International Everest Day, also known as Mount Everest Day or simply Everest Day, is celebrated annually on May 29th.

It is to commemorate the first confirmed summit of Mount Everest by Sir Edmund Hillary of New Zealand and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa of Nepal on May 29, 1953.

This historic climb marked a significant milestone in human exploration, showcasing courage, endurance, and the spirit of adventure. The day was officially established in 2008.
