Veerappan (Koose Munisamy Veerappan) an indian bandit, smuggler, poacher, kidnaper, killer.

He offenly known a Forest Brigand, Sandalwood King.

He operated in the forests of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Kerala.

He smuggled sandalwood, poached elephants, and killed over 100 people, including police and forest officials.

He also kidnapped prominent individuals, including actor Rajkumar, and remained on the run from police for decades.

He was killed in 2004 by the Tamil Nadu Special Task Force.

His daughter Vidya Rani served as Vice-President of the BJP Youth Wing in Tamil Nadu.
